Rumbling Down Under

Australia experiences earthquakes measuring 2.0 or higher on the Richter scale every day. While we do not sit on the edge of a tectonic plate like our neighbours in New Zealand, our contintent is moving north east at a rate of approximately 7cm per year.

Each activity night we begin with building for the fun of construction but also to reinforce the idea that the crust of the Earth is always moving, even in Australia.
